The BioBag Food Bag is chiefly used for collecting organic food waste - perfect for the green bin!
It is made of a material called Mater-Bi, the main component of which is cornstarch. By using the BioBag you are making an important contribution toward reducing the greenhouse effect and acid precipitation, thanks to the natural components of the material. The BioBag has a significantly less adverse impact on the environment than other bags.
BioBag is more environmentally friendly regarding production and transportation/logistics than alternative bags for collecting organic waste.
BioBag products are shelf stable, just like paper plates or paper towels. BioBags will not decompose until they are introduced to the earth's elements or micro-organisms in the soil. Extended heat can make the BioBags feel soft and may eventually cause splitting. We recommend storage in a dry, cool area.
- BioBags are certified GMO Free. In fact, BioBag only sources corn from countries that do not allow GMO testing
- No polyethylene is used in the production of BioBags
- 100% biodegradable and compostable
- 25 bags per product
