These compressed coir bricks are the waste product from coconut shells and hold up to ten times its weight in water. Coconut husk fibre is an excellent potting medium. This great replacement for peat moss does not shed water like peat moss. After soaking in water for 10-20 minutes, you will have 1/3-1/2 cubic foot of weed- and disease-free material.
