Chicle is the sap from the Sapodilla--pronounced "Sap-oh-dee-yah"--tree, which grows in the rainforests of Central America. Chicle was the original basis for all chewing gum, until synthetic gum bases were developed.

Is Glee Gum safe for people with food allergies?
Glee Gum does not contain any of the eight major food allergens: milk, egg, fish, Crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, or soybeans. However, all six flavors of Glee Gum contain glucose derived from corn, which may not be safe for individuals with corn allergies. Also, though all Glee Gum is soy free, please note that other products containing soy lecithin are processed in the same facility as Glee Gum. Is the chicle in Glee Gum safe for people with latex allergies?
Yes, Glee Gum is safe for individuals with latex allergies. Although chicle is similar to latex, chicle is derived from the Manilkara sapota tree. Latex comes from the H. brasiliensis tree. People with latex allergies are allergic to the proteins of the H. brasiliensis tree, so they should have no problem with chicle.
Glee Gum is vegetarian and free of additivies, lactose, dairy, wheat, gluten, casein, egg, yeast, nut, peanut and soy.
Bubblegum:
Cane sugar, glucose, gum base (contains natural chicle), rice syrup, natural flavours, gum arabic, resinous glaze, beeswax, carnauba wax, red beet colour.
Cinammon:
Cane sugar, glucose, gum base (contains natural chicle), rice syrup, natural cinnamon flabour, gum arabic, red beet colour, resinous glaze, beeswax, carnauba wax.
Peppermint:
Cane sugar, glucose, gum base (contains natural chicle), rice syrup, gum arabic, peppermint oil, resinous glaze, beeswax, carnauba wax, chlorophyll.
Tangerine:
Cane sugar, glucose, gum base (contains natural chicle), rice syrup, gum arabic, natural flavours (liquid and powdered tangerine flavours), resinous glaze, beta carotene, beeswax, carnauba wax
Triple Berry:
Cane sugar, glucose, gum base (contains natural chicle), rice syrup, gum arabic, natural flavours (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry), black carrot and black currant juice for colour, resinous glaze, beeswax, carnauba wax.
