If you are not satisfied with a product you bought online at Grassroots, it is possible to return it within 30 days of receiving the product. Please note that original shipping fees are not refundable. You are responsible for return shipping charges. We cannot accept COD deliveries and we highly recommend you insure your return shipment.
1. Check to ensure that your product is returnable. Refunds are granted within 30 days of you receiving your order. The following products cannot be returned or exchanged:
2. Ensure that the product being returned is in its original packaging (along with manuals or accessories) and in perfect condition. In the case where packaging is no longer in its original condition (i.e. damaged, cut, broken), a 25% re-stocking fee will apply.
3. Grassroots has provided a refund form, which can be found on the back of the packing slip. Simply write a brief explanation as to why you are returning the item and include your receipt with the item you are returning.
4. Grassroots has provided a return shipping label found on the back of your packing slip. Simply cut out and attach to the outside of your return shipment. If you no longer have this return slip, just use this address:

We will notify you of your refund via e-mail after we've received and processed the returned item. You can expect a full refund (minus shipping fees) in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 7 to 14 business days after we receive your return.
- Used filters, or filters in opened packages
- Washed or used clothing or linens
- All beds and bedding products
- Used personal care products
- Sale, Clearance or Special Order items
- Seasonal items (i.e. seeds, cards, ornaments, etc)
Ship all returns prepaid, by insured Surface Mail (United States Postal Service). We will not accept returns or exchanges from the United States that are sent via courier. Why? Because Customs would impose brokerage / duty fees on Grassroots as though we were accepting goods from a U.S. supplier.
Where applicable, please contact your local customs office for information about any taxes or duties that may be assessed on a return shipment.
To avoid unnecessary delays, please write "Canadian Goods Returning" on the outside of the package. Please follow the rest of the steps outlined above for all returns or exchanges.
If your order arrives damaged, please return it immediately. If the error is ours, you will not be charged for additional shipping costs. We will then re-send your new order at no cost to you.
While we do our best to operate a scent-free environment in our stores, we cannot be responsible for products that have come in contact with perfumes, colognes, etc. in their journey to and from Grassroots. We will do our best to accommodate special shipping requests for individuals with MCS, but we cannot accept product returns due to matters such as "contamination".
